Rekey Locks

REKEY RESIDENTIAL LOCKS

We Will Rekey Residential Locks For You

As more and more people are switching homes and establishments on a regular basis, be sure to consider rekeying your locks. When someone has sold their house, weather the house is new or an existing house that means there is a potential that there could be duplicate keys still floating around.

Even if this isn’t true, for safety and security reasons for both parties the buyer and the saler consider rekeying your locks.

How We Rekey Residential Locks

- Match The Bites

The first thing we have to do is analyze the bite of the keys. The bumps and ridge on keys are called teeth. This is because they will fit into the mouth of the lock and make turn or not turn. After analyzing the professional residential locksmith will edit the lock.

- Edit The Lock

Next, we match the bite of the key with the mouth of the lock and then decide which section of the multiple tumblers and switches to switch out.

- Replace A Part

Lastly, we replace a single section of the lock. Once a section of a lock is replaced the old key(s) will no longer turn the lock.
